The Emmys

My oldest and dearest friend Sarah Knowles has been nominated for an Emmy, as production designer of HBO Films' Warm Springs. And who else would she ask to be her date than someone she's known since she was five? And so, readers, I put it to you: what should I wear? (photo links welcome)

I actually gave this some thought today while I was out tractoring, since Amy's subject about Lucy held no interest. So here goes:

I was going to say a basic Armani black dress with a silver necklace and jade pendant, no earings, hair up. Sort of a Diane Lane look. But that will be done, and how often do you get to the Emmy's?

So instead, go with a long jade green dress, hair down, CLEAVAGE, no necklace, no earrings, and a pure white Arabic style silk headdress. Not a burka, but sort of a Sophia Loren look, strong, been around the block yet demure, sensual, confident amongst all the Paris Hilton wannabes. I guarantee you will get on E!Live.

Just a thought.

I love it! (And the PS!) I have also toyed with wearing something extremely tight across the bodice, with www.ristrettoroasters.com across the breasts, and a pillbox hat shaped like a coffeebean... kidding! Eric's idea is much, much better.
