Typing this from porch of Chilmark Public Library, the only place I've picked up wifi in the past month. Will leave island (Martha's Vineyard) Friday, spend a few days in New York, including a trip to the Whitney to see the Buckminster Fuller exhibition, then back home, where Din is about three weeks away from opening the second location of Ristretto.
Time on the island has been well spent and wonderful. Tafv is having the time of her life, as counselor in the Art Shack at the Chilmark Community Center, and her mom, until two days ago, was on a regimen that worked out extremely well, in that I finished my book, Leaving Los Angeles. It is now with my new agent, who in time will take it to market. You may be sure that if/when it sells, I will send up fireworks.
It will sell. And I want a signed copy.

Hi, Nancy! Glad to see you posting. I've missed your writing. It's funny that you are posting from the Chilmark Library. My mom was on the Vineyard several weeks ago and the houses she rented were supposed to have Internet access but did not. So, she would drive by the Chilmark library at night and, sitting in her car, would check her e-mail by the light of her dashboard.
Congratulations on finishing your book. I can't fathom the effort involved. Enjoy the Vineyard.
