My daughter Tafv and her friend and fellow designer Katie Gargan are putting on a show of their latest collections tomorrow night, Tuesday the 19th, at Zaytoon, at 7:30 PM. This child has been working like a slave for nearly two weeks, sewing late into the night, her sewing room a cyclone of zippers and eyehooks and fabric scraps and her iPod on replay. She's working in a way I recognize (if too rarely emulate), and as I wrote to her boyfriend's mom, "I am watching Tavie launch herself." I'll add, hope to see you at the show, though suspect my eyes will be elsewhere.
Unfortunately I live on the East coast or else I would love to come. I look forward to seeing pictures of the event.
Good luck to Tafv!
