For reasons that may include the dawn of a new year; my decision to never again write for magazines that make my work look like shit; the advent of new wonderful writing wherein I meet new wonderful people; or my watching this and actually understanding, among other things, why my daughter keeps her room messy, life right now is very sweet, so sweet it seems as though I am holding in my hand a fruit in which there is a little round open pool of something liquid, like pomegranate syrup, and I am dipping in my finger and tasting it whenever I want, for instance last night, when I listened to "Sleepless" by the Decembrists while lying on my bed in the dark, a glass of red wine untouched on the nightstand.
That's so beautiful. You're my inspiring thought for the day (at least) Nancy, thanks! :)

How did you end up at the brain researcher's site? What is the connection between that and Tafv's messy room?
I'm am still mired in a winter of discontent....

Found the lecture on Ted.com.
Realized Tafv doesn't see the messiness the way I do; her brain doesn't go, "I need to be organized because because because" the way her mother's does. She pulls a piece of fabric out, grabs some paint, works, plops it back. She's wired differently.
