    test

I'm exhausted after reading this. My life in LA has been much less eventful. Yet I recognize every character and every corner in your story. You exaggerated nothing. It does give you cause to pause when your children watch "Entourage" to see the places and characters they call "home."

As usual, you've delivered the goods. This essay is haunting, Nancy. I won't ever forget it. A swimming pool filled with Evian? What is WRONG with us, as a culture, that anybody would ever aspire to such a thing?

Please check out a post by a blogger I like very much. Your essay and hers seem, at first blush, unrelated... but they now are linked in my mind. Vic's an AP English teacher, and this post is about an experience with a particularly arrogant, smug, spoiled kid... but OH! what a glorious ending. http://plotthickens.blogspot.com/

ver much enjoyed reading this....didn't know about life in LA....my brother John still lives in Santa Monica, is it as colorful?
