This is a terrific song. And the character in the story of this song really does seem, to me anyway, like someone you'd write about.
Not sure if you remember, but you did this to me once. Long ago you loaned me a book by Ryszard Kapuscinski, whom I'd heard of but not read, and said he writes the kinds of books I might write one day. I had no idea how much of a compliment that was until I sat down and read.
I have most of his books now. He's amazing and better than me for sure. Thank you.
